"Japanese Girl Bathing No. 1"

"A Japanese lady friend who enjoyed some of my drawings decided to try modelling for the first time. It was an amusing and proud effort for her, beeing incredibly shy. This is another early etching piece, and involves some experimentation with technique. We can possibly say the elder ladies at the printmakers studio (where lessons were held) didn't enjoy this so much."

This limited edition etching incorporates the intaglio etching and stipple process on 1.2mm copper.

Printed on 300gsm fine art Hahnemuhle warm white paper, this etching is a strictly limited edition, and ships protected by archival tissue paper and stiff cardboard.
